Father: Njinga Ngola Kilombo Kia Kasenda (1575-1592), 8th King of Ndongo

Mother: Kengela Ka Nkombe (one of two wives of Ngola Kasenda)

Brother: Ngola Mbandi (9th King of Ndongo), died 1624

Sisters: (1) Cambo Mbandi (Portuguese prisoner, Christian name: Barbara, Queen of Matamba 1663-1666) and (2) Funji Mbandi (Christian name Graça) drowned by members of Portuguese army in the Kwanza River, Massangano, Angola in 1646.
